Join us for a Mysterious March!

Improve your mystery-solving skills with four detective-themed events for kids in grades 2-5! Registration is required for each of the following FREE events. To sign up, call the library at 203-888-6944.

On March 6 at 4:15 p.m., make paper Secret Decoder Badges and scytales, the ancient Greek version of a decoder! Then, pass secret messages back and forth with friends!

On March 11 at 4:15 p.m., solve Jigsaw Puzzle Mysteries by listening to short stories and then putting together related picture puzzles!

On March 20 at 4:15 p.m., use simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to become a Math Detective!

On March 25 at 4:15 p.m., discuss the novel Mr. and Mrs. Bunny — Detectives Extraordinaire! Can Mr. and Mrs. Bunny help Madeline find her missing parents? To find out, read the book ahead of time; then share what you thought with other kids! Copies of the novel are available to borrow from the library.

One thing that’s no mystery? When it comes to springtime fun, the library is the place to be!

Attention All Writers!

Winter Writing Club members are encouraged to bring in their completed books so that videos can be posted to our website by the end of the month. Videos will also be shown on a big screen at the library on February 28 at 5:15 p.m.  Show off your writing and illustrating skills and gain fans of your work!
