March 2020 Program Descriptions

Weekly Recurring Programs

Evening Baby Time – Every Tuesday Evening at 5:30pm
Under 2 years old
Baby time is composed of a lot of fun songs, rhymes, and movement games to do any time with your baby! It’s also just a special time to fit in a little one on one time after the busy day.

Wednesday Baby Time – Every Wednesday Morning at 9:30amUnder 2 years old

Baby time is composed of a lot of fun songs, rhymes, and movement games to do any time with your baby! It’s also just a special time to work in a little one on one time before the busy day. Due to our large attendance numbers on Wednesday morning, I’ve added another Baby Time for Friday mornings!  Please note that we try to provide baby time for our smallest friends so they have a safe space to explore.  Wednesday and Friday 10am story times will be geared more for toddlers/preschool age with lots of movement and action!

Friday Baby Time – Every Friday Morning at 9:30am
Under 2 years old

 Storytime – Every Wednesday and Friday Morning at 10am
Suggested for Ages 2 – 5 years old
Join us every Wednesday and Friday morning for Story Time!  During story time we learn songs together and include lots of movement such as dancing, yoga, ASL, and more!  The stories are chosen with interaction in mind to hold children’s attention and get them excited about reading!  We include number and letter recognition through games and songs as well. Come join us, we’d love to see you there 🙂

Tween D&D – Every Saturday Morning at 10am
Ages 10 – 13
Starting in January, we will be hosting a new Dungeons and Dragons program for kids ages 10-13!  The campaigns will be run by one of our very own patrons.  Even if you’ve never played, we will walk through the basics and learn along the way.  This program will be held every Saturday morning at 10:00am.

Other Programs by Date

Tuesday March 3 from 4pm – 5pm – Game Day
All Ages (Suggested for age 5 – 11)
Get in some game time at the library.  We will have different stations in the Children’s Section with various games available for participants. These include (but are not limited to!) the Nintendo Wii, Roblox, and classic board games. Sign up is required!

Wednesday March 4 at 3:00pm – Teen Time: Gaming
Ages 12 and Up
One Wednesday a month, we will have a 1 hour program dedicated to our teens.  This month we are dedicating Teen Time to all things gaming!  We will have our PCs, handhelds, and Nintendo Wii set up, as well as game-themed craft activities.

Thursday March 5 from 1pm – 2:30pm – Homeschool Hangout
 All Ages (Kids and their parents/guardians)
We are asking any parent or caregiver who has provided or is considering homeschooling for their child to join us. Kids welcome, too!  Our goal is to get a large gathering of people together to share their ideas, tips, advice, and to socialize. Registration is required so sign up soon!

Grades 6th – 8th

Saturday March 14 at 2pm – STEM Saturday: Maze Madness
All Ages (Suggested for 4 and up)
Each month we will be hosting a different STEM activity.  This month we are building our own mazes using a variety of materials.  We will be able to test out our friends mazes, too!

 Thursday March 26 from 4:30pm – 5:30pm – Monthly Lego Challenge
Ages 5 – 8
Each month, we will have a huge array of legos for participants to build with.  If they wish to participate in the building challenge, they will create something based on that month’s challenge, and it will be displayed for the entire month!

Thursday March 26 at 6:00pm – Teen Time: Gaming
Ages 12 and Up
In case you missed it!  This month we are dedicating Teen Time to all things gaming!  We will have our PCs, handhelds, and Nintendo Wii set up, as well as game-themed craft activities.
