October Fun for Everyone!

Looking for something fun to do this fall? Come to the library! We offer exciting activities for kids or teens every day that we’re open!

This month, the library will offer a Wii baseball tournament, a visit from a police sergeant, and programs that make math marvelous! Plus, the library will host lots of Halloween events, including festive craft days, trick-or-treat storytimes, and a Spooktacular Halloween Party!

Check out the calendar page for more information about our upcoming events.

Congratulations to the Monkey Team! The monkey won the race to the clown car during our summer reading program. The elephant team was in second place, and the lion team was in third place.

The children on all of the teams did a wonderful job reading this summer! Out of 295 children who registered for Read Under the Big Top, 143 children read at least 4 hours before school started. All together, the children read 1,784 hours during summer vacation!

I hope you will come back to the library during the fall. I’m currently working on a big book order so new books will be on the shelves soon. Plus, we’ve got exciting programs for kids and teens everyday! Check out the calendar page for more information.
