Spring Vacation Events!

Looking for something fun and inexpensive to do during spring vacation? Visit the library! We are hosting exciting free events for all ages!

On Monday, April 13, preschoolers – fifth graders can decorate paper binoculars at any time between 1 PM and 8 PM while supplies last.

Also on Monday, April 13, at 6:30 PM, young adults in grades 6-12 are invited to attend a meeting of the Junior Friends of the Library where teens give the Children’s Librarian ideas for programs and then socialize while participating in a fun activity.

On Tuesday, April 14 at 10 AM and 2 PM, children can enjoy stories, songs, and a craft at All Ages Storytime.

On Wednesday, April 15 at 10:30 AM and 2 PM, infants – three-year-olds are invited to Babies & Books where we will read stories, sing songs, and have playtime!

On Thursday, April 16 at 2 PM, third-fifth graders can learn about inventors from our state during CT Invents! with Patrick Smith, Curator of Education at the Museum of Connecticut History. At the end of the program, participants will have the chance to make their own invention! Register for this library by visiting or calling the library.

Also on Thursday, April 16, at 5:30 PM, children, teens, and their families can play Wii Sports on the library’s Nintendo Wii. Try baseball, tennis, golf, or bowling – all skill levels are welcome from beginner to expert! Registration is REQUIRED for this exciting free event. Visit or call the library to sign up.
